From this mornings PS
"After the Boston Celtics waived Kris Joseph — again — to free up money and a roster spot, the former Syracuse University forward is flying to Las Vegas to meet with basketball representatives from the NBA, Europe and China.
“There will be some NBA options,” Joseph’s agent, Chris Luchey, said Thursday. “My job will be to get him something from a guarantee standpoint or a partially guaranteed standpoint. I just think he needs a break. And I think he’ll get one.”
The former SU forward could use a little good fortune.
Joseph, part of the stunning trade that sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce from Boston to Brooklyn, was waived by the Celtics on Monday. Boston, which selected Joseph in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft, initially released Joseph last January reportedly in anticipation of making a trade that never materialized. Joseph played in the D League before the Brooklyn Nets signed him to a 10-day contract in April.
The Garnett-Pierce trade could not be finalized until the NBA’s waiting period concluded. It prevented Joseph from playing on an NBA Summer League team."
