That would be best for everyone. My bold prediction is that FBS football will be separated from other collegiate sports and regionalized, which could very well lead to something like this.
Wonder if there will be relegation with the new power football conference. As long as SU fball got a seat at the big boy table I'd be fine with college football becoming a separate thing. SU bball in a conference with traditional BE and ACC basketball powerhouses is appealing.

Agreed, thinking Coach K has anything on his mind except basketball is silly.Mike K's thinking is that the 2 most basketball focused conferences are the ACC and Big East.
Why?I’d be fine if we banned everything Duke on this board. Wayyyy too much of it lately.
Between the Maliq thread, this thread, and the discussion amongst Flagg I think we have some closet Duke fans on the board. Go post on their board FFS. Hate their self righteous BS with a passion and I hope Scheyer fails miserably. Why?
Cincinnati is only a 9 or so hour drive. Nothing screams regional like the Ohio and Kentucky border.I would love a return to playing regional rivals like Marquette and DePaul every year.

It's pretty easy to see a separation happening. It's one thing for Stanford and Cal to play in a conference of eastern schools because they choose to sponsor sports (like field hockey and WLax) that aren't played to any great extent on the West Coast and it's quite another for them to do it because they're forced to be in a conference that's based on the East Coast. That would be best for everyone.
