Kudos to Mike Waters

Yep, the parent company, Advance Publications, would not allow for people to be banned or any kind of ip tracking and the such. It was a mess.

I personally know of a father after an article and picture of his daughter (very attractive) playing a local high school sport were published who threatened to sue if they didn't take away the comments section because of the lurid things that were wrote. They did take it down. This was about 10 years ago though.

Holy cow.

They could do what ESPN did and make you link your account to a Facebook account before posting. That DRAMTICALLY dropped the troll posting.
And now the Kentucky fans completely dominate the comments.

Well I live in Syracuse, so I don't believe I'll have to worry about that. Anyways, all someone would have to do is look at my Facebook account to know I'm a Syracuse fan. I don't need to link my account to ESPN for them to find that out.

I just meant that as an example. Take CNN story for instance about the virtues of putting grandmothers in poverty. If you make a comment about that and it lasts forever apart of your facebook profile then someone could data mind your political views. Any lack of support for Ayn Rand selfishness virtures could lose you a job with some people.
