Burnett had one disastrous start where he gave up 12 runs in fewer than 3 innings. Other than that, he has better than any Yankee starter this year. I realize the difference in leagues plays a part. Pitching in the NL should be good for him; having that automatic out in the lineup should prevent some of those terrible innings from being so bad.
I don't understand the hatred many Yankee fans have for Burnett. He certainly didn't live up to his contract, but he won some huge games and was by most accounts a great clubhouse guy.
