Kyle McCord: Packers Practice Squad

Not the best spot for him. It will allow him to learn the nfl and continue to develop. Feel other teams would have given him a great chance to quicker playing time.
It's not a bad spot. Tanner McKee likely gets traded after this season if McCord proves he can be QB2 (he will). Eagles backup QB gets more snaps than most teams because they're likely to have nothing to play for the last game of the year and have some mop up duty available.

I think this is a great spot. He'll cement himself as the #2, and they'll be excited about paying the backup rookie contract money.

He's way better than most backups will be, and he'll have a chance to learn behind a franchise QB, in a winning organization coming off of a superbowl.

Stopped worrying about immediate playing time once he got past the third round.

Time for him to prove his value and outshoot the draft position.

Really good perspective. Many of the teams that could've offered a quicker chance of playing time are in that position because they aren't well run and can't get out of their own way, so that's a definite advantage for Philly.

Nothing is guaranteed -- he still needs to make the team -- but I'm confident that with his arm talent, and his price tag [on a rookie contract], he'll do just that.

Agree completely. Worse things than being a solid number two. This is a great spot for him.
