You’ve did a good job of making me happy and sad at the same time with just this one post.

I mean it makes a ton of sense. He could have the opportunity to play immediately in the NFL or be the backup at round 3 or above. Anything below that it’s no guarantee at all. Which is why coming back may make more sense. You have to wonder if we try to develop him into a semi-dual threat QB. We saw more of his legs this year than Ohio State. Is he a first rounder before the NFL became the league of dual threat QBs?

I really don’t think nil is a factor. If there’s a chance for a multi year contract and has a chance to fight for a position then he’s gone. If he’s told come back and improve then he’s back here. That Pitt game might be what ends up bringing him back.
