When I heard defensive players being drafted in the 2nd round despite being injured and not playing for most of last season, I really hoped that Marlowe Wax‘s name would somehow suddenly pop up.

Those teams are all going cheap if they all aren’t even drafting a QB till at least the 4th round. With all the defensive edge players seems like teams are prioritizing putting more and more pressure on QB’s and trying to restrict their movement. Probably why more offensive lineman are being drafted so high too. I think I read that something like 28 out of 32 starting NFL quarterbacks this past season were drafted in the first 2 rounds.

I love Kyle and think he's going to be a successful NFL QB. However, after falling to round 4, would it have been a better financial decision to have come back next year based on how the rookie deals are structured? I'm sure he would have made morth of 1-1.5M from NIL.

Teams are going to regret passing on him for the likes of Shough, Gabriel, and Milroe through the lens of hindsight.

We had a 2 million dollar deal lined up if he was to come back.

It's a relatively thin year at the NFL draft for QBs. If he stuck around another year at SU, it's more likely than not that he would fall later into the draft.

This might work better for McCord. His 3 most likely landing spots are, Rams, jets and Steelers. Him sitting behind Stafford for a year or two could be good.

He's a great backup. Competitive, smart player, good locker room presence. Even if he doesn't make starter status in his career I see him on a roster for a long time.

He may have made a little more with the NIL deal but he’ll now be 1 year closer to the 2nd contract where the big money is if he has success. And while I agree with everyone that he’s better than a few QBs taken, most of the dozens of mock drafts I saw had him going rounds 3-5. So that’s where he’ll probably be.

Unless Cleveland plucks him early today, I can totally see him going to Pittsburgh in the 4th

I say it every year. I have no idea what I’m talking about when it comes to who gets drafted and who doesn’t. I must have a 0-fer record with my predictions.

I guess leading all of the ncaa in passing isn’t enough. I’m not sure what a Syracuse QB has to do.

I watched Shough at the combine. He was ok, but not better than Kyle.
His injury history is really bad plus he is 26.
Though got to love his dog!

Milroe was horrible at the combine.
He missed a ton of throws.
I think he was picked to use for gadget plays with his ability to run.
but frankly I wouldn’t have wanted Kyle in Seattle
Too much competition at QB.

As for Cleveland, I lived in fear they would take Kyle.
That is a messed up organization.
They took the Oregon QB
The guy is a shrimp and another oldster.
He can throw but he is going to get physically destroyed.
Not a fan of Shedeur but Cleveland should have taken him.
It is like there is a Cleveland QB curse.
QBs go there to die and disappear from the NFL.
