Is it just me or has the Heisman lost some of it's luster? It's not even that we haven't had someone in contention either I don't think. I used to look forward to it every year but it's been several years since I really paid attention to it and I only accidentally saw the announcement tonight when I was channel flipping.

Back in September I bet on Murray to win the Heisman at 18 to 1. A month ago I was ready to rip up the ticket. He deserved it but I'm still kind of in shock how it turned around so fast.

The talent gap between OU and every other Big 12 team is arguably wider than it is with Bama and the rest of the SEC. Only Big 12 team with comparable talent is Texas and Murray was 1-1 against them.
