I think our side of the bracket is tougher than Notre Dame's. Definitely winnable, but more speed bumps for sure.
Not sure what you mean. Do you mean the AQ should go to the team that won the regular season? Because the only reason Detroit is in is because they won their league tournament. Just trying to understand your point.well it is bullsht that detroit makes it. the AQ should go to the team that wins their league. There is not room for 5-9 teams playing in this tourney so I would be in favor of expansion.
Biggest snub though was Bucknell.
Since we will only have to face 1 of UNC, Albany, and Denver, I think this turned out to be a great draw.
ND has to face either Duke or Loyola in the second round and either OSU or Maryland in the next round after that.
Cheers,
Neil

yes, the AQ should be the regular season league winner. So crown Detroit the league tourney winner but they shouldn't go to the NCAA over the team produced all season long. Talk about taking the meaning out of the regular season.
Well...6-7 is better than 5-9.So ... Villanova gets the BE's AQ? They finished the regular season at 6-7.
UNC dropped because the ACC brethren slipped at end of season. Facing UVA in ACC championship did not help the SOS. In addition, the only quality win UNC had was against Maryland. You can't give credit for wins against historically good teams, especially when they have historically bad seasons (UVa, Hopkins).
Meanwhile, OSU had to beat two top 10 teams in Denver and Loyola to win the ECAC. Plus, add in the win against PSU earlier in the year and OSU deserved to be seeded above UNC.

Would make sense. The college lacrosse world has changed dramatically the past 10 years or so. Many more D1 schools are playing lacrosse and they are coming from further west. And to be honest the conference play now in vogue in lacrosse is not established enough to merit inclusion of their conference champs. The moral of the story is this: Don't choke in your conference tournament. There are at least two basketball teams every year that fall into the same trap. Cruise through the regular season and lay an egg against an inferior opponent. That's why small conference behemoth at 27-3 sits at home while 18-12 happy-to-be-here heads to Dayton. In Lax it's worse because there are less slots to go around.
I bet someone comes up with the idea of play-in games this summer (ie first round byes for the top 4 seeds).
They had better not get cocky and blow the first game. hey have a good starting position but thats all they have. It appears that Lecky has found his game again and able to contribute as I expected and hoped for this year.vs. Bryant

Swell. Albany and Denver in the bracket too.
I want another shot at the Thompsons in the Final Four.
