I didn't get the preseason hype on Lamb and it's been confirmed. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him on my team, but he's not the man.
The iso's for KJ on Lamb show that he (and HOFCJB) felt KJ could take him to the rack 1 on 1.

I posted this in another thread, but he and Harrison Barnes seem to be the same type of player to me. Barnes is better, but they both seem just as content standing around doing nothing as they do having the ball in their hands dominating. I think Barnes has a better handle which sets him apart slightly, but neither one seems all that concerned with basketball at times.

Napier may suck balls, but you can tell he's always into the game and plays with an edge - Lamb doesn't seem to have that.

Now I know what "In like a lion, out like a lamb" really means. The kid had some moss growing on his sneakers he was standing in that spot for so long.

He is soft. He doesnt play with the fire that kemba played with. He is not even close to being the leader that kemba was. Taking him out of the game the final minutes was not surprising. All that talent and he plays half asleep.

I firmly believe that playing with a guy like kemba was exactly what he needed, kemba breaks things down and it frees lamb. Napier stopped moving and forcing the action and obviously Lamb continued to not move.

In the halfcourt offense, he doesn't even try to take the ball to the rim. He doesn't seem to be able to create his own shot. That's a very bad sign for a lottery type player his size. He reminds me of a smaller Wes (and Wes was a way better rebounder) and Wes has struggled in the NBA. Lambs stock has to be falling.

Lamb has more penetration ability than Wes (albeit not much). Lamb is much better suited as a role player, which is why he will thrive in the league IMO. He doesn't have the skillset nor mindset to be a go-to guy, but he's a very good 2nd or 3rd option.

Here's where I give Kris some credit, the kid took it to the hole and didn't disappear like Jones did for WV or Lamb yesterday.

i imagine lamb will be more aggressive in the ncaat after being called out not once but twice for basically standing around come crunch time. that can't be a fun tape to watch again.

Someone made a great point about Harrison Barnes, and I think it holds true to Jeremy Lamb, too. They have a really high floor, but not the highest ceiling.

My favorite part was when Joseph caught the ball a feet beyond the 3 point line and Lamb rushed up to D him up aggressively. Joseph just had this look like really? Then instantly went right by Lamb to the hole where he got fouled.

Not only did it show terrible defense I don't get why you would aggressively guard him that far out when he hadn't hit anything at that point in the game
