Ok I advocate for letting the offense run through Eddie when he is in the game. For now Carlos is our only pg option. Westry can give him a blow and we can do Taylor and More in small doses.Coming here is starting to hurt my head. I read post after post saying we shouldn’t have spent all that NIL on Lampkin, we really needed a point guard. Now some of those same guys post we should have a backcourt of Moore and Taylor or (god forbid) one of those two and Bell, because anyone can dribble across mid court and pass to the wing. And they don’t even realize the inconsistency. I can only conclude their irrational hatred of Carlos has gotten the better of them. Don’t get me wrong, Carlos is mediocre at best. But with JJ out and Westry still getting up to speed he is the only guy on this team who has any feel at all for setting up shooters. He has 30 assists, 9 turnovers. Taylor has all of 5 assists and 3 turnovers. Bell 6 assists and 9 turnovers. Moore 8 and 5. Even Lampkin is 22-21. You really think a backcourt with those guys would be anything other than an unmitigated disaster.
You really don’t understand a pg job.
And as I pointed out above, 9 turnovers. Taylor has 5 assists and 3 turnovers, Bell 6 and 9, Moore 8 and 5, Lampkin 22 and 21. Seems pretty clear who does the best job setting shooters up.and by the way, Carlos has played the most minutes on the team. 236. He has 30 assists; 3.75 apg.
hes a better pg than carlosTaylor is horrible. Not a point nor a decent shot.
this is the craziest stat of this seasonand by the way, Carlos has played the most minutes on the team. 236. He has 30 assists; 3.75 apg.
I wouldn't be shocked. I love Red as a person and the face of the program, but his lineups are objectively horrible. This season is toast; I'm hoping for enough development that we can make a late run and then Red works his azz off to shore up his weaknesses in the offseason. The pieces are there.Red reads the board.
