I have heard from some reliable sources that he is on the very short list. Now I hate what he did to Tennessee and I think we would have to pay an arm and a leg for this guy, but come on he has name recognition, he is good enough to be the offensive coordinator at Alabama for god sakes. The same team that is starting yet another Qb who had little to no experience and they are arguably the best team in the country right now. (although look at all their talent). He also has head coaching experience at Tennessee and USC.

This would be a disaster.

Terrible choice. In a league with HCRE as a terrible choice.

There are non-coaching reasons why he cannot be considered at all.

Syracuse would be a stepping stone job for many coaches. It would DEFINITELY be a stepping stone job for Kiffin.

I think he's been able to work out at Bama because Saban puts him on a very short leash. Having him run his own show would be disastrous.

Considering the backdrop of the sanctions that primarily hit the basketball program, there is no way Coyle should consider Kiffin. If Coyle does, it cold easily be the reason he is fired.

If he is truly on the 'short list', all the goodwill that Coyle has built in his short time here will be gone, IMO. Oh Lord

Even if Kiffin succeeded, he'd leave in a year or two.

Coyle is making his first hire as SU AD. He cannot afford to bring in the controversial Kiffin...

Lane Kiffin isn't going to come to Syracuse...even if we wanted him. Cmon guys, y'all know better than that

So what. Sanford has taken the backup QB, third string running back and backup TE at Notre Dame to no worse than 5th in the playoff race. C.J. Procise did not even play RB until this year. Just say no to Lane Kiffin.

I think it has been covered sufficiently in this thread how nauseating of a choice Kiffen would be.

But setting that aside, I think there are dozens of more qualified candidates that should and will be in the queue ahead of Lane.

theres noway kiffin is a credible candidate. no way. coyle seems too smart.
