Lane Kiffin

I'd rather go get the sweater vest out of retirement.
if we hire him after this week, the 5 game suspension will count and he will be good to go next august.

just sayin...

Here we go again. How about we give the coach and staff a chance first. First year with this OC, recruiting is doing better. Some dumb mistakes but we are very close to being 4-2.

As long as we're bringing people back from the dead, let's unearth Hal Mumme. If his offense doesn't fill the seats then no one's will.

And he has great hair.

It was a 5 year show cause penalty, not a 5 game suspension.

I would much rather talk about the height and girth for Head Coaches than Lane as our next coach. But if Layla wants the job then lets discuss.

both.

5 years show cause and a 5 game suspension.

hire him now, he sits 5 games and as long as he doesnt in '16...we in the clear.

championship.....

I don't want Lane Kiffin either... but not because of the sideshow he would bring to town or because he would see this job as a stepping stone. No I don't want Lane because he would be another in a long line of coaches who wants to play NFL style football with college kids. That works at Alabama and USC which every year get top 5 recruiting classes... although one could argue it hasn't really worked at USC. But there is no way it would work at Syracuse. Sorry Lane, we don't want you.

No on Kiffin

Set up first two interviews with......

Justin Fuente and Matt Rhule pick one you like and move on.

It would be interesting to have a database of all the guys posters have said they wish would become the head coach here - all the guys who were going to be better than Pasqualoni, Robinson, Marrone or Shafer- and then we could keep track of how those guys have done in the places they wound up in.

well, Pasqualoni is going to the CFHOF, but as for the rest...are you saying that not only are our hires absolute shite, but the entire candidate pool is also??

damn, we truly are screwed.

I wanted the Sweater Vest and would be confident he'd be on par with any of the 4 names above. The question is whether you could hold your nose from the smell of sanctions that he brings w him.

No, I'm saying:

The conclusions would be drawn afterwards.

i think my conclusion would hold true...with all the hires and candidates pooled...we are truly screwed.

marrone was a good hire, but by realizing that he didnt want the job and leaving without really putting in enough time to leave his stamp on the program...it made it a bad hire.
