I wasn't looking forward to this game, but the NET really puts it into perspective that we really need this opportunity. We've already dug a hole and we're not going to get anywhere squeaking out close wins and losses against teams in the 50-100 range.

To cross reference your post on NET rankings- the other path with high win pct and margins goes against the makeup of the team given the defensive issues and shooting woes. Goes without saying that Bell is a huge part of that but 27 pct as a team is near the bottom of all of cbb. There is no path without the outside shooting improving immensely as a team and maybe that means Bell ends up riding pine.

The conferences typically try to make good games. This matchup was the ACC sacrificing Syracuse. No way this was viewed as a good matchup. Oh well, we're in a hole and need a big game so I'd rather take this longshot than play Vanderbilt.
