Class of 2023 LB Fran Brown Jr (NJ) TRANSFERRING TO SYRACUSE (12/19/24)

Sign up all the Browns. Who freaking cares? Our number one goal is make Fran Brown happy and don’t get in the way of that good thing. He is a blessing to this program and anyway I don’t think he’d do anything to undermine the success he’s started to create here.
Anyone who thinks HCFB would go easy on his son or give him breaks hasn’t watched one freaking press conference all year…

Such a no brainer. Win win on all fronts. This is a family atmosphere. Fran is buying in so hard to cuse, he has Will Nixon, Michael Johnson jr, and now Fran jr. That will only help our coaches be happy and love cuse more.

I mean get Eric Thomas’ brother here from Marshall in the portal, Frans son, both OCs sons are on the team, we have the Kerr twins, had both Diggs brothers on the team last year, we have a Boeheim on the team. Damn this team is a family affair at this point lmao
So who's going to be Mr. French

Agree but at 105 scholarships it's no big deal.
It is a big deal. Any scholarships granted over 85 must come out of the $20.5 million designated to pay players next year. That’s why the SEC is staying at 85 scholarships. It’s the same if you go from 13 to 15 scholarships for basketball. The extra scholarships comes out of the $20.5 million pot. Being a private school it’s even more expensive to give extra scholarship. It’s not smart for SU to give any extra scholarships.

Meh. Fran could probably pay his tuition if it is that big a deal, they must be allowed to.

You should be seeing this more as more potential reason head coach isn’t leaving anytime soon. Which people here get so worked up about….
If this was the old portal rules id agree but you can transfer every year if you want. This means nothing more than Fran is here until at least next year

Possibly. Not sure FB would want his education moving around very year but fair enough point.

I'm sure he is allowed to as they obviously have a pre-existing relationship.

The Syracuse Nepotisms
“If you can’t keep it in your pants, keep it in your genes.”

This is pretty normal in college football. I don’t think it has any significance though other that Fran Jr is able to get closer to home, upgrade his program, and upgrade his school. Good for him.
