This guy has pretty good size for a junior, excellent speed, and takes good angles. Creates lots of havoc against overmatched teams, but those attributes are what you’re looking for.

The highlights show him playing a rush end more than linebacker. South Jersey group 2 has a lot of offensive linemen that were smaller than him.

Weak competition and extremely poorly coached teams he played against. Over and over he was not even blocked. Ran free in the backfield consistently, even when he lined up as the 4th DL. No effort to identify him and block with a tight end, H back or RB by most teams. When engaged by an offensive lineman, did an excellent job shedding blocks and keeping his eyes in the backfield.

Because most of his film is not him necessarily playing traditional linebacker, and the competition is weak, there are two reasons to not necessarily know what he brings to the table as a college OLB, and explain lack of offers. He could clearly play rush end in high school, can he play linebacker in college?

I would say always take a chance on speed and instincts.

Barron 2.0. LB/S hybrid and he's FAST and super athletic.

10.96 100, 22.31 200, 16.64 110h

Slightly faster Trebor Pena for reference
Good physical athlete for sure. Looks good at the line of scrimmage and can tackle well. Highlight skills show LB to me. They don't show him in coverage at all so unsure how that would translate to him having safety coverage skills. He's athletic so maybe he can learn it? I certainly think he should learn coverage skills well enough to be an OLB.

I think he can do anything the coaches ask of him honestly. He actually plays more like Marlowe Wax so IF he can't back pedal and cover that's not a bad place to end up. He's a super smart player though watching his gap and assignment discipline. Also good vision and will use his hands effectively vs just relying on raw athleticism. It's tough to gauge entirely due to opponents being out classed by him BUT he appears to be an extremely disciplined player in addition to athleticism thus, presumably, why he was offered.

Yup. Definitely a lot like Wax. Just not quite as thick yet.

Wax was only 220-225 until he rebuilt his body this past season. This gent could potentially arrive to campus the same if desired, seems to have the build for it.

Same type of smart, instinctual player though. Bit like Marlowe or that JMU kid we wanted that had like 150 tackles the other year or even Pena from Rhode Island that somehow didn't end up here.
