Class of 2026 LB Jordan Campbell (FL) Verbal to Miami / Offered

I was worried about recruits decommiting from SU, and we’re getting 4 stars to flip to come here? I am so confused…seriously. I am happy for this, but not as excited for the future as I want to be given the past few weeks. Am I the only one?

Not to say your feelings aren’t valid, but we’ve got a lot of true freshmen and sophomores playing major roles right now — they’re only going to get better. Plus, we’ve got the best recruiting class Syracuse has had in nearly two decades coming in next year, and our starting quarterback is returning. There’s definitely reason for optimism, even though potentially going 4–8 isn’t ideal. I just hope we’re aggressive in the portal this offseason.

Good points! My concern was poorly stated in that I am worried about the coaching aspect of our recent on the field performance. Talent might overcome some of that, but poor preparation and planning, won’t help yield proper execution. Therein lies my concern. I haven’t lost all faith in HCFB by any means, but it is a bit shaken.

No you’re not alone. But I’ll be frank. It’s ridiculous/childish/entitled. You all would dump Mila Kunis if she asked you to empty the garbage. No one is perfect, including our HC.

Learn how to deal with disappointment. We will rise again and Fran will be at the helm. Program building in its truest sense takes some time.

No it’s actually not ridiculous/childish/entitled to expect there to be more than one QB on the roster that can throw a forward pass competently. I love Fran but if people are being critical because of that, it’s warranted.

Players are being put in positions to make plays, some just aren't making them. Gents like Campbell, Deslaurier, Samuels, Hughes, etc are athletic enough to get to spots and talented enough to make them once there

We got snakebitten this year and our house of cards was built on Angeli with no suitable backup. It doesn’t discount the foundation that Fran is building.
