Official Visit to Syracuse the weekend before PSU, 6/6/25

Terry is just a great name for an LB.

I like this kid's tape. Seems like his team mainly played a 3-4 defence with him as standup OLB on the line of scrimmage.

Looks like they mainly had him playing shuffle, but the few times they let him rush he showed great burst.

They also had him playing 15 yards outside the box in coverage at times. Seems like he's already pretty fundamentally sound - showed great pursuit angles and gap responsibility.

Always tough to beat PSU for an LB from Pennsylvania though.

We get an official visit a week before Penn State. We were his first D-1 offer. We have Coach Fran Brown. I like our chances here.

Boooo. But not really surprising. Fran's great, but Penn State is still Penn State to PA prep kids.

The work Fran Brown is putting in I’m sure is a big driver to really push Penn State to up there game significantly. Not quite there to winning these recruitments, but we’re getting closer. James Franklin I would imagine is in serious trouble if Penn State somehow misses the playoff. The next move I’m sure they’ll pull is to buy the Syracuse program, like our coaches and coordinators (who both are former Penn State players). I hope we could fend them off. Syracuse can run Northeast football as soon as 2026 again.

Coatsville is a public school but yes Ped State has that area locked down, especially LB.

They also just picked up a commitment from NJ S/LB Steve Klein recently that we were recruiting. Both seem like really good prospects. Maybe future portal targets.
