Leach and Washington St

Exactly, I think he liked the WSU job because it was the red headed step child of the PAC 12, it suits his personality and he's from Wyoming as well ( I think he likes the middle of nowhere) other than Key West. It seemed that he always had just enough defense to win games at T Tech or too much offense. He just can't stop anyone on defense in the PAC 12, offenses are high powered or super big and athletic.

Leach has left his mark on the game without a doubt regardless of WSU outcome, he has definitely become a bit of a dinosaur because I don't think he caters to kids like many of the newer coaches. His next job will be coaching high school in Key West in shorts and flip flops, riding his bike to and from practice. I liked him when he was on SIRIUS with Jack Arute.

and yes he's laughing all the way to the bank and would also say he's smarter than 9.5 out of 10 football coaches
his ideas are accepted in the pac 10. on the field , it was a bad choice for him. it could've worked somewhere else where the weather is worse and the coaches are dumber.

That was the one thing I just didn't get about him taking that WSU job. You go from Key West, living the dream, loving that life...to Pullman, Washington. About as polar opposite in every way that you can get. Shows you some of that cuckoo mindset of his.

But I do love watching him on the sideline, with his little folded up piece of paper, calling plays, going for 500 yards through the air.

I don't think he was ever going to take a job like Arizona St or Maryland, it's just not a good fit fro him. Pullman, WA in the middle of nowhere, red headed step child of pac 12, etc= good fit for Leach

His system could never work in a dome though, to warm in there. Ground and pound only answer in the Northeast, even in a dome. It's the Northeast and you have to worry about the 1 game every 2 years that is played outside in poor conditions not the 22 other ones. Makes sense to most coaches

also holgorsen and WVU blew out georgia southern bad last week. i don't know if georgia southern is as good this year but had it been the other way around, it would've been held up as AHA this is why you don't run the air raid. an old fashioned option team getting killed doesn't really register though because that's the right way to play, not a gimmick
