Guy is just unbelievable. Used to not be a huge fan of him but the more I watch him the more you just have to admire and give respect to him. Absolutely incredible. Any time he touches the ball, he legit creates a great scoring chance for himself or his teammates. His jump shot has improved greatly and no one has the athleticism he has ever possessed while being so incredibly skilled. Jordan obviously did, but he couldn't pass or create for his teammates like LeBron. MJ is the best ever for right now, but in June, I very well may have changed my mind. LBJ is a joy. Sheer joy to watch and those who aren't watching him, are missing the soon-to-be TGE.. Just more versatile than Jordan. Showing off that he already has 50+ triple-doubles while MJ only had 27... Even Bill Laimbeer said he would be the best player in the NBA in the 1980s and 1990s because "No one could compare to him physically in those time slots."

He may be a great player, but good Lord I hate him with a passion.

Every time I see that face I want to put a wrecking ball through his head. He initiates 90% of the contact and expects to get the call every time, even when he steam rolls right through someone.

I watched the Nets game for about 30 seconds last night and the play I watched he drove to the basket and probably got hit by Paul Pierce, but he still made the basket. And of course he starts looking around for the call for the most insulting hit he just took and does that stupid bitter beer face like his arm was ripped from his body and used to beat his kids with. Just &$*ING stop and play!

He got plenty of phantom calls last night too so he doesnt have a right to cry all the time, but he was so beast that I didnt even mind watching him ask for fouls every other play.

Oh I am right there with you. One thing he absolutely needs to eliminate... Stop crying LBJ... Still, holy freaking cow is he good

Lebron and D Wade still whine more than anyone in the league. If' you're going to initiate that much contact, be a man about it.

Pierce almost singlehandedly brought the game back. Unfortunately Joe Johnson felt the need to hoist up a couple extremely selfish and unneeded shots.

It'll be interesting to see if people start rooting for him as time goes on. He's a much better teammate and human being than MJ ever was but he's hated by so many.
Great teammate, great leader, great player, great in interviews, great self-control considering how much he gets beat up (name one other player in the league who regularly gets tackled goin' to the hole), elevates teams he's on to greatness, yet, people hate. Personally, I find hating anything or anyone, let alone a friggin' basketball player, is bad for my health. Haters are missing greatness. MJ's lucky he existed in a pre-social media world.

Wade is the worst at this to me; I remember the guy whining and not getting back on defense in the finals. ITS THE FINALS MAN RUN BACK ON DEFENSE.

Would love to see a lot less whining from most of the star players in the league. But yeah, Lebron is off the charts good. He's almost the perfect player. (Which doesn't necessarily mean he's gonna be the GOAT; but he might)

(not saying anyone here does this)

I laugh at the people who say Lebron would never be able to play in the 80s and 90s when the league was tougher and then complain about him running over everyone on his drives to the hoop.

Pierce almost singlehandedly brought the game back? Are you talking about last night's game -- 0-4 on threes, 16 points? At least he got his wish and got to defend LeBron. http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2014/5/13/5713088/lebron-james-paul-pierce-chart-heat-vs-nets

Did you watch the fourth quarter?

Edit: And ok, Lebron went off. So uncharacteristic of the greatest player of the era to do against a 35 year old veteran. Pierce wanted to guard Lebron because he has the most experience and is the veteran leader of the team.

LBJ does not discriminate on the basis of age. He's had epic games against players of all ages, including 29-year-old Paul Pierce (45 points) in the 2008 playoffs. Are you dismissing LeBron's performance last night because Pierce is 35?

If he is too old to stick him he shouldn't have asked to guard him. I don't care if Pierce scored 25 in the fourth, they wouldn't have had to be "brought back" or "on his back" the fourth quarter after Lebron dominated him all game long.

Those weren't epic games, those were L's. 29 year old Paul Pierce beat Cleveland Lebron on the reg.

I'm not dismissing anything, it's still impressive...

Tell me, who else is going to guard him?

It's not like there's an "answer" to guarding Lebron James. There's only a "best option".

Regardless of his age or athleticism, Paul Pierce was Brooklyn's best option due to playoff experience, experience against Lebron...and honestly Pierce is a pretty solid defender. I think he's top 5 all time in steals. Maybe of active players.

Im honestly starting to appreciate how much you love Lebron. At first I thought it was weird, but man you've stuck to it and now it's just impressive.

In 2008 the Celtics won game 7 against Cleveland by 5 points. I remember that one being a pretty epic game. Great duel between Lebron and Pierce

No real good answer for who guards Lebron on Brooklyn. Probably has to be Pierce, at least in crunch time?

Lebron is growing on me but it is soooo hard to like him when he gets beyond MJ calls.

If BK loses, game flipped because what's a foul on Joe Johnson, isn't a foul on Lebron. Under a minute left and JJ gets bumped/fouled no call. Miami comes back and Lebron get bumped/fouled, foul called.

LeBron pulled a Devendorf, he leapt onto the scorer's table! Love it, hope Eric was watching, hope he gets a royalty check!

Game flipped 'cause Miami knows hows to close, put the defensive clamps on Crooklyn and hit big shots, and free throws, at crunch time. The Heat's defense on the Nets to end the game was sick. I almost -- emphasize almost -- felt bad for Joe Johnson. who, otherwise, was great.

Oh, the Heat defense was dope but I wish I could've just enjoyed it without seeing Lebron get away with 2 fouls and going to the line under a minute for similar contact as he had on JJ. However, you're right, you'd think BK would know how to close with those dudes but they were shook ones in crunch time all series long.
