Nate Oats. Just lost to Mizzou and the SEC has gotten much stronger. Would love to get him back up north and to have him running the program. Being an Auburn Alum too, I could knock out two birds with one stone

If you want the legend out, 1) it has to get drastically worse or 2) hand the keys to Red to facilitate a quicker and real handover

I would be perfectly happy with Red as a way of accelerating the transition. Then, it’s all on him.

I really don’t want this to become the new Denny Crum reference.

I’m not crazy about any of the assistants taking over. I love GMac, but think the job is too big for him at this moment. I don’t see AG as a head coach, so I do understand Red would be the best choice on the staff currently. If that were to speed up the process, I wouldn’t love it but I wouldn't be opposed to it. I really just want a splash hire but I realize that may not be a realistic ask.
