Rumors are that Malachi James will be KR and Johntay Cook will be PR. Anyone hear differently?

James has wheels but I haven’t seen how he runs. Is he a 1cut guy, is he a wiggle guy? I prefer 1 cut guys at KR. Of course, he has to hold on to the ball too. Do we have any evidence of that?

Cook apparently has lots of wiggle which is perfect for PR as long as he holds on to the ball. I’d love to have a Floyd or Schwedes or Spotwood again, what a weapon!

I trust that the coaches have selected the best guys, just would like to get excited about these roles. Any one have any insight to add?

Thinking of Malachi at kick returner, it makes me think of Kirby Dar Dar. Get that kid the ball whenever possible and let him fly. They won't all be gamebreakers, but every time is a possibility.

Think you’re right on both.

Malachi is a one or two cut guy. Then just explodes through the hole. Obvious breakaway speed.

Cook has wiggle but also explosion. Has a second gear that will work very well in space. He’s also strong and reliable with the ball.

Boobie Johnson will be returning punts whenever he comes back. There’s a reason coaches talked about him so much this offseason.
