Jay Williams as well as Seth Greenberg were just very adamant at the half of the ACC championship game that Lunardi was crazy for not having us in over the other bubble teams that he currently has in. Palm has us in, Bilas has us in. What is Joe thinking? He keeps sliding us down and everyone else seems puzzled. Does he know something no one else does or am I missing something? Feel like he doesn't want to retract his statement that Pitt vs. Cuse was for a bid.

He probably still isn't over the fact that newhouse rejected him.

This just in: we're going live to the closet of bracketologist expert Joe Lunardi---

I would not ignore the fact that Williams, Greenburg and Bilas are ACC homers and have been stationed at the ACCT all week. They are commenting during and between ACCT games. If we've been paying as close attention to the SEC Network this week, I wouldn't be surprised if they are talking up Vandy, Bama, Florida, etc...

I think they are honestly pretty objective when looking at teams. They all watch A LOT of basketball.

Idk Lunardi does have some sort of connection I believe. I remember one year he updated his bracket right before the reveal and included a team no one thought would get in or something and they did.

Super vague and anecdotal!

I think you're right about this - that's why Lunardi's final bracket is the most important. The one's he puts out right now you should take with a grain of salt

For what it's worth, on CBS's "Road To The Final Four" show this afternoon they mentioned 8 teams on the bubble and SU wasn't one of them. Seth Davis and Clark Kellogg took turns giving their opinion whether a team was in or out.

I dont really take any of these guys overly seriously, especially the guys calling the games who dont have the time to keep up on the research like we do here. Then again, Lunardi shows that even guys who have time to research and supposedly have no homer connections, can still be off.

To summarize, much of this is meaningless when it's as close as it is this season. Somebody on here may guess more correctly regardless of their reasoning. It feels nice though when folks are patting our back.

Lunardi is the TV version of an internet troll.

He likes to put the mid-major teams in over the power conference teams because he knows it stokes the fan bases of the bigger teams. It's the only way they'll talk about him and keep him relevant.

Remember, Lunardi is a media guy. He knows being in the press is more important than being accurate.

And yet CBSsports.com Jerry Palm has us in.

Yes. every analyst really talks up their conference and is sure they are all in. It gets annoying at time.

Actually, I didn't know how to interpret it. Did they have us in for sure or out for sure? I'm thinking the latter.

Davis and Kellogg had us out for sure. We are at best on the bubble. Palm had us as number 68 this morning.

Palm has us playing Monmouth as a First Four game. But we are the last of the Last Four 4 in.

Cheers,
Neil

It's incredible how significant the UCONN game is tomorrow

Irony

I think we can still get in even if Uconn loses.

Someone on here said if UConn loses we may have a better resume than them. Tomorrow is going to be crazy either way.

Well the bracket I am seeing was as of prior to noon today. He had Temple a 10 seed and at half-time of the UConn-Temple game he pointed out that the Owls are less than .500 against teams in the Top 200 and no one has ever received an at large with that type of record.

Cheers,
Neil
