If there is an financial benefit to Duke doing well, sure cheer for that. But as far as one team doing well and trying to make the argument that it covers up the mediocrity/awfulness of the rest of the conference, I will not buy that argument from OrangePAA conference gets about $2m for each game a conference member plays in. Last year the ACC received $32m which was then distributed equally amongst all conference members. So SU received about $1.8m.
I don’t know what if any changes to this specific revenue stream are made because of the settling of the Clemson/FSU lawsuits.
Go ACC.

There is a financial benefit to SU for any and all ACC teams to do well. And in this age of $$$$ and college sports, I’ll take anything we can get. Go ACC.
I'm ok with cheering for more money, but as I mentioned, trying to make the argument that Duke doing well changes what the conference did as a whole this year would be ridiculous.Another way to look at it is for every game in the tournament that has a ACC team, SU will receive about $111,000. Nice donation.
Nope. You don't root for the ACC?
When Duke wins their first round game can we finally buy 2 treadmills for the hoops team?Another way to look at it is for every game in the tournament that has a ACC team, SU will receive about $111,000. Nice donation.
I'm sure the posters throwing around stillettos will make up that $1.8M if Duke goes down early.A conference gets about $2m for each game a conference member plays in. Last year the ACC received $32m which was then distributed equally amongst all conference members. So SU received about $1.8m.

Needless to say, who anyone of us roots for makes no difference at all.I'm sure the posters throwing around stillettos will make up that $1.8M if Duke goes down early.
I'm no Duke fan, but hoping the ACC flames out makes no sense if you are a Syracuse fan. You want as many of those NCAA units as possible, in this environment.
i kNoW PeOpLe wHo kNoW PeOpLe...Needless to say, who anyone of us roots for makes no difference at all.
So if people want to root against Duke, that's cool. I doubt Cooper Flagg is going to shoot worse because a dozen SyracuseFan.com posters don't want him to win.![]()
You'd be surprised the powers that I haveNeedless to say, who anyone of us roots for makes no difference at all.

You'd be surprised the powers that I haveActually if I did have any powers, I would have used them to make the past several seasons much more enjoyable.
Exactly. The SEC doesn't need anything else on top of what they already have.I'm sure the posters throwing around stillettos will make up that $1.8M if Duke goes down early.

I’m assuming he takes after his Dad as what I’ve seen from his Mom is far from likable. Not a Duke fan, but would sure like to replicate their program and the pride they play with. Flagg, by the way, is a really likable kid who will also be a #1 pick. Good for him.
I actually find it far more bewildering that people root for money.Bewildering.

Especially when we've been told we have no treadmills for the men's and women's hoops team to use. Where did all that sweet NC State money that SU shared in last season go? Why didn't we buy treadmills? You know, since we should be rooting for money.
