We're the over-dogs, but lets play like the under-dogs.

Honestly, the Cuse would be world beaters if they could bring a little FGC swagger.

Compare BTs efforts at loose balls to FGCs.

Bring it baby!

This year's different. I think we're playing well at the right time and everyone looks really focused. There's no more "easy" games though, we have to be on our game from here on out and we could be going home. Tonight is probably the last game were we can be "off" and still have a chance to win (but Cal can certainly beat us regardless).

I think we've only begun making noise in this tournament.

I agree. Time to bring it

Our 2-3 zone is tough to plan for. It's even worse for teams that haven't seen it before. It is damn near impossible for a team with one day to prep for it. If we're making shots (like we've been), we should win comfortably tonight.

Well,Georgetown got called for 33 personal fouls in that game last night. FGSU got called for 18.

So to the extent that SU forgets and thinks its back in a Big East slugfest, we need to be careful. I know we aren't Georgetown or Pitt, but Georgetown's propensity to foul was one of the huge difference in that game.

I'm not worried about our defense. We will be OK.

It's the offense that gives me concern including turnovers by the guards and jacking up of threes when there is no reason to do it (e.g., too early in the 35 secs.)

I agree 100% in the past (09-10 and 11-12 as exceptions) we always seemed to play extremely well for 7-8 games three quarters of the way through the season and come down to earth come NCAA time. This year our timing seems to be better.

I don't know if I'm right or wrong here since I haven't done the research but I always feel like SU does better when the rest of the conference struggles in the tourney. Not all of the conference does poorly (so Providence in 1987 did well, SHall in 1989, nobody in 1996?, nobody in 2003?, L'ville in 2012) but most of it does tank.
