Let's speculate - Who will be biggest bust this year in CFB?

Kyle Bolin. Rutgers thinks he will be their savior, he was mediocre with superior supporting cast at UL. He's a classic drop back getting thrust into a spread system with only summer to adjust. The whole thing has disaster written all over it.

I for one, hope he will be a savior. It will even be more miraculous being that he graduated already.

Lol, we all know you hope he'll be a savior...

Although I don't wish ill on Rutgers, they make controversy a regularity, so I can't say I'd ever root for them. The obnoxiousness of their R!vals fan base is really what turned me off to them. That and Schiano being the bag he was.

Really don't care how they fare anymore, but, I think Bolin's a band aid at best on a broken bone.

Excellent imagery.

I don't disagree with you on the r!vals fan base and now all of those mugs have invaded my pleasant skowt board in a buyout/takeover.
To bet to my real point though, Bolin is not on the team anymore so, no savior.

You mean 25 yr. old 7th yr Sr's don't get extra eligibility? Kyle we hardly knew ye.

Wasn't Lewis supposed to shock everyone as a true Fr? Is Rutgers onto a new Fr? How old's the big kid, Rescignitzo's or whatever?

Penn St - Losing Barkley, their LB’s and most importantly Moorhead will be tough to overcome.

Boston College - Only expected to get 7 or 8 wins, but I see them predicted for 2nd in the division at a lot of places. They won’t be that good.

FSU - not sold on Taggert and will have one of the worst OL’s in the ACC

Great points! FSU will miss Jimbo, he was a GREAT in game coach and knew how to handle young talent. We can beat an FSU lead taggert.

Michigan will tank.
Miami goes backwards
ND might be lucky to go 500

Those are my tanks

Pretty much strongly disagree with all 3 of these. All 3 have 15+ returning starters including their QBs or in Michigan's case, a pretty substantial QB upgrade. Michigan in particular might lose 3 or 4 games due to what I believe is rated the toughest schedule in the country but with 9 starters back on a really good Def, I don't really understand how anyone could think that they won't be good.

We couldn't beat a Taggert-led USF. I hesitate to say we can beat a Taggert-led FSU.

I am considering the transitional effect. He recruited like crazy at USF And had his systems well established with some excellent talent.

miami had a good record last year that was really caused by almost every thing going right late in games.. probably should have had 4 more losses.

Agree, they are picked to win the other division, which as usual is up for grabs again this year. Again, our division is one of the best in the game with Clemson, fsu, the ville, and now ncst emerging as a power.

The Ville could be a bad team this year. That's one of the teams we need to knock while they are down.

BC will be good if they stay healthy. Their starters are good enough to get them to 2nd in the division. They dont have the depth if they lose guys though.

I'm expecting (hoping for) a sophomore slump for Dillon. I'm sure BC's QB play will improve to shoulder more of the burden than last year but law of averages says Dillon can't be as productive as he was last year.

Hopefully his wheels start showing some wear and tear by the time we play them.

BC's 2nd half run is extremely tough. Starting from Oct 6 on is a gauntlet.

Oct 6 @ N.C. State
Oct 13 vs Louisville
Bye Week
Oct 26 vs Miami (FL)
Nov 3 @ Virginia Tech
Nov 10 vs Clemson
Nov 17 @ Florida St.
Nov 24 vs Syracuse

Even if Miami and FSU are down from last year I still like that 4 game stretch leading up to our finale.

That's gotta soften BC up. Maybe not as badly as we were last year but enough for us to win.

Sucks that game is in MA.

Miami is picked to win their division

I don't like getting them outside on Nov24 but they should be softened up. Likewise them traveling to FSU and back will be a tiny bit tougher on them. We'll only be in NYC the weekend before.

Miami has a lot of hype coming into this year and I think the Coastal is down overall. Not sure who else would be picked to win the Coastal, VPI? Most of the picks show VPI as the fifth best team in the conference and second in the Coastal.

Miami certainly has a lot of young talent. We'll see how it holds up over the season - I'm surprised they're opening against LSU.

When BC shows they can pass the ball consistently, I’ll give them a shot at 2nd. They won’t be able to run on everyone.
