Let's Talk Strategy for This Game

I hope we don't continue with the 3 man rush in 3rd and long. You give Finley time and he will eat us up. I also hope we utilize some press coverage of our own. NC State is good, but I feel we match up well with them based on our strengths and weaknesses matching theirs. They are excellent run defenders-Hope we don't keep forcing it down the middle to set up the pass. Let's pass to set up the run.

What I like about a 3 man rush is that I would blitz 1 LB/DB from an unknown area to the O thus mixing it up a bit not only in rush but also coverage. Not really a fan of just a straight 3 man rush either.

I would select punt block for my defense just like I do in Madden so that Finley knows he's getting pasted every play.

I've never played Madden, why does that happen?

One defensive adjustment last week designed to stop the run was to sustain pursuit and gang-tackle the RB. Clemson and Pitt racked op a ton of YAC (Yards After Contact), including breaking off several long runs, and last week appeared to be an "11 men in the photo" approach.
IMO this was responsible for UNC countering with mis-direction plays. jet sweeps, and quick out passes. .
With the crowd energy in the dome this week, I look for our defense to do more of the same.

i had an unusual thought for ot last game, usually the toss winner plays defense first, if we were to have won the toss i 100 % wanted the offense out first
