Okay, okay. Liberty is favored. They are undefeated, with wins over a lot of FCS schools. I refuse to believe they are more talented than us. Many have said that they have loaded up on transfers and have improved their program. I went and looked at their starting 11 on both sides. Let’s take a look:

Offense:

CJ Yarbrough - WR - 6’3 205 - ***; offered by Jacksonville State, Troy, South Alabama, Virginia

Kevin Shaa - WR - 5’11 165 - **; offered by Eastern Michigan and ODU

DJ Stubbs - WR - 5’9 185 - ***; offered by App State, Colorado State, Elon, various other FCS schools.

Tristan Schultz - LT - 6’4 305 - unranked; no other offers

Damian Bounds - LG - 6’1 290 - unranked; no other offers

Thomas Sargeant - C - 6’1 295 - unranked; no other offers

Brendan Schittler - RG - 6’5 315 - **; offered by Army, Columbia, EKU, EMU, Tennessee Martin, NIU

Cooper McCaw - RT - 6’5, 305 - unranked; offered by Arkansas St, Louisiana

Johnny Huntley - TE - 6’3 240 - (transfer from Colorado), *** WR out of HS, offered by Syracuse, App State, Bowling Green, Cincy, FIU, Kentucky Louisville, Purdue, Rutgers, TCU, Temple, Tennessee, USF, Washington, WVU, WKU,

Josh Mack - RB - 5’11 200 - (transfer from Maine) - ** star out of HS;

Malik Willis - QB - 6’1 215 - (transfer from Auburn) - *** out of HS; offers from VATech, Air Force, Ball State, Elon, GA State, GA Tech, Jackson State, Mercer, Ohio, South Alabama, Souther Miss, Troy, Tulane.

Okay. So what do we know? They’ve put up points. They have a mobile quarterback. Yeah yeah, he’s a transfer from Auburn, but lets not pretend like he’s a usual Auburn recruit. They have some size on the offensive line, but our defensive line should be able to counter them easily. They are not set up to power run against us. In terms of talent - I like our defense against their offense

Defense:

TreShaun Clark - DE - 6’1 235 - unranked; offers from Alabama A&M, App State, CMU, Cornell, Marshall, UCONN

Elijah James - DT - 6’5 300 - (transfer from IWCC), unranked; also offered by Kentucky and Chattanooga.

Ralf Rusins - NT - 6’6 325 - unranked, originally from Latvia.

Durrell Johnson - DE - 6’4 235 - (transfer from ASA); unranked - offers from Akron, Bethune Cookman, Grambling, Morgan State, South Alabama.

Anthony Butler - MLB - 6’1 230 - (transfer from Charlotte) - **; offers from App State, Coastal, Georgi State.

Aaron Pierre - WLB - 6’0 205 - unranked, no other offers.

Juwan Treadwell - ROVER - 6’0 195 - transfer from Last Chance U; *** - offers from Akron, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Temple.

Chris Megginson - CB - 6’0 185 - **; offers from Elon, Georgia State, VMI, Western Illinois.

Javon Scruggs - S - 5’11 180 - **; offeres from Marshall.

Emmanuel Dabney - CB - 6’0 180 - (transfer from Hinds Community College); other offers from Louisiana Monroe, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico, ODU, Southern Miss.

Marcus Haskin - S - 6’0 185 - (Transfer from Iowa Western CC); other offers from Akron, Austin Peay, Buffalo, Charlotte, Coastal, Kent State, Louisiana Tech, NMSU, Northern Iowa, Troy.

If we had Tommy this week, I love our offensive potential. Unfair to make a prediction on offense, because we have no idea what we are going to get out of Rex. Where he goes, our offense goes. I originally thought this would be like last years game, but dynamics have changed. I really do believe they have been over hyped a bit. I’ve read all over that they are this new sleeping giant and transfer haven of forgotten BCS players. I just wanted to post what we are going up against. It will hopefully either calm some nerves or make people even more angry after Saturday. I’ll choose to use this as optimism in my orange colored glasses that we still will out talent them to a victory.

Wow, totally forgot about Josh Mack. Talk about a kid that will play extra hard in this game...

What happened to their ole miss OL transfer, gotta be hurt or really bad as he didnt get playing time at ole miss and he was a 4 star hugh freeze ole miss recruit, shocked he isn't play

Thanks for the research. Nice breakdown. Their skill guys can play and we need more of a push from the front 3. That said, seems as though this defense needs blitzes off the edge to get pressure, bringing backers or dbs. Not sure how aggressive we can be there after the way we have been getting gashed on the ground. on O we have a big unknown with culpepper. We need to run first and they may know that.

Seems like some of those offensive lineman should have received some better offers just based on their size.

Well, it’s time we line the excuse up and see which flinches first I suppose

Wait lots of people on here say stars don't matter, it's how they fit the program or they just were not evaluated yet , or if they committed to Rutgers they would be a 4 star, or man if you look at the film there is no way some of those guys are only 2 stars. So I don't trust those star ratings I mean JJ watt was only a 2 star after all .

Now that I have the Parodies out of the way I like our chances as well. I think we Winn by at least ten.

Great information!

Also, a kid turned down Cornell and another kid turned down Columbia ... to play football for Liberty for 4 years. I’m not sure I would have made that choice.
