Lingering questions for preseason #1

i think if you read between the lines from their coach, there are some causes for concern:

Coach K 'adamant' about not rushing stars back

Their guards are tremendous tho and i would expect all those freshmen forwards back at some point, but will they ever be 100%...?

Duke's 60% > other teams' 100%.

I look at it this way. When was the last time Giles played a whole season? You absolutely cannot count on him staying healthy no matter how long you wait for him to come back. Sprained foot isnt the end of the world but it's lost time. A strange lower leg injury out of no where screams extracaricular sketchy activity. It's a really strange situation all around lucky for Duke they bring back a lot if experience. That said freshman missing meaningful time early season is a killer. These kids will be lost on defense and out of rythum with the rest of the team offensively.

You may be right, especially about Giles. But also look at their first two box scores. Its pretty clear if you look at the stats closely they dont have a point guard yet. But k will probably figure it out

Yep and they are still very good even with them hurt because they have so many quality returning players. Duke is very good but it's a long season.
