Alisha Lewis just transferred out and Maud Huijbens (6'3" C from The Netherlands) just transferred in which leaves the roster full at 15 by my count.
Guards
R-Sr. Tiana Mangakahia
R-Sr. Kiara "Kiki" Lewis
So. Teisha Hyman
So. Taleah Washington
Fr. Khamaya McNeal
Fr. Faith Blackstone
Fr. Kiara Fisher
Fr. Laura Salmeron (Spain)
Forwards
Sr. Digna Stroutmane
Jr. Emily Engstler
Fr. Priscilla Williams
Centers
Sr. Amaya Finklea
Jr. Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi
Fr. Kamilla Cardoso
Fr. Maud Huijbens (Netherlands)
I would expect the 2 Euros and maybe another guard to redshirt as Tiana and Kiki will likely soak up 65 - 70 minutes.
I listed Priscilla Williams (6'2") as a forward just for roster balance even though she was listed as a guard on Mickey D roster and probably plays more like a guard on offense. If Tiana and Kiki are in at the guards, then Priscilla would play D in the back line when they set up in the 2-3 (assuming Q still rolls that out given the team's awful zone D this past season).
After next season they lose 4 seniors, but already have 4 committed for the 2021-22 incoming class:
F (6'5") Latasha Lattimore (very athletic, long, too skinny for center -- but that's okay, we have Kamilla!)
PG Shayeann Day-Wilson (outstanding player, teammate and friend of Latasha, both from Toronto)
F (6'3") Amani Bartlett
G Nyah Wilson
Given the above, 2021-22 and beyond looks to be very exciting as well with inexperience at PG perhaps the looming issue. Hyman seems like a pure SG, so maybe Salmeron (a true PG) will not redshirt and purposely be force fed some minutes in 2020-21. McNeal is touted as a versatile 5'7" combo guard. Nevertheless, a senior Emily paired with a now experienced duo of Williams and Cardoso and the dynamic Lattimore should be a sensational mix. A lot of versatility, size and depth.
PG Day-Wilson / Salmeron or McNeal?
G Williams / Hyman / Washington?
F Engstler / Washington?
F Lattimore / Djaldi-Tabdi
C Cardoso / Djaldi-Tabdi
With this class locked up (hopefully) the staff can stay ahead of the curve and focus on Class of 2022 targets already.
