IMHO, Mack Brown pulled a Pasqualoni and got tired of recruiting. What has happened to Texas?
The roster is full of 4 and 5 star players. The services can't be wrong can they?IMHO, Mack Brown pulled a Pasqualoni and got tired of recruiting.
He should be fired at halftime
getting crushed by TCU - I think 37-0 before half?
Wow.
Texas alumni money does not like eight win seasons and really does not like losing to other schools in the state.
I wonder if Strong can survive this season?
It all comes down to coaching...Texas is a strange program. From 1984-1999 (16 seasons) they only had two Top 15 seasons and 0.0 Top 10 seasons. From 2010-2015 (6 seasons) then have had zero Top 15s and only one Top 25. But in between they were Top 15 every year from 2000-2009 (10 seasons), along with seven Top 10s, five Top 5s, and a National Title. Their run in the 2000s was crazy good. But how can they have such bad runs from the mid 80s till 2000 and now in the 2010s?

I will say Texas as a program might not recover anytime soon. the big 12 doesn't hold the same status as the SEC so A&M is in the ascendancy. Also Baylor and TCU have surpassed Texas from a relevancy perspective. Strong has until the end of the next season to start showing progress in the w/l record unless the bottom totally falls out this year. The best players on the team are Strong's first two recruiting classes who are just sophs and freshmen so I think he has the year. Another losing year next year and he's out and I bet Tim Herman from Houston is in.

We've played a much easier schedule than Texas... 2 top 10 teams and one 25 team and a Cal team that's going up with an NFL QB. Our Freshman would look pretty bad if we played that schedule as well. I don't think the freshmen looked that bad... they should have gotten to at least OT the last two weeks. Their biggest problem is that their lines are getting physically dominated both on offense and defense. There isn't much a coach can do when his players are going against stronger/faster players and losing every 1 on 1 battle.I agree with most of this, but he's playing a lot of those freshman and sophs and they just don't look good. Compare them to how our freshman have been playing and you got to wonder if Strong is the answer.
