Going into the two games off the bye week SU is likely to have one more win than USF and UVA combined.

USF plays Memphis next and UVA goes to Pitt before playing SU. Two winnable games on the road. USF is down and London might be playing out the string already by that point.

The AD at UVA must have it in for London because he did the opposite of scheduling for success, OOC of UCLA, ND, and Boise.

Great effort today, I was looking for them to win some plays, they did far more than that. They play like that and all hands are on deck they should be 5-1 going into Pitt at home.

While today was nice and exciting, that is what is called a huge game. Would expect 47K and all orange.

Get through that and a likely loss to FSU, 6-2 with four to play, and not out matched in any of them.

the schedule gets progressively harder but many of the teams ahead look very beatable. we'll probably lose one of them because sports, but if we get/stay healthy we will be just fine and bowling

USF and UVA the next two weeks, SU has to split. No way about it. If they are at 4-2 and returning home for Pitt then going to a bowl is very realistic.

Would have loved to have played this game with Dungey...if we play with this intensity (tough to do) every week, we could win 9+

The thing that worries me about UVA is that they're probably looking at that game against us as one of their best chances to win a game. I expect their best.

I have no idea what to make of USF right now, but I'm confident enough that if we play as we're capable that what we do matters more.

Schedule gets harder, SU gets better and better. I like our odds this year. Not to mention what can grow in the next two years.

I think we should win both of those games. I think we can put to bed the questions about lesters offense. Maybe it's the booze talking but if we don't end up winning 8 games this year I'll be disappointed.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but we have no clue how this young team will handle a road environment. That's a major hurdle that we have yet to see. I have a feeling however, with Dungeys calm cool demeanor, that he'll handle it well.

Look at USFs Passing numbers against a terrible Terps defense last week. It will make you feel pretty good about the game upcoming with them

But with Dungey, I think LSU would have taken us more seriously and not just showed up expecting to win. Transitive property works both ways.

Yeah, I hate looking ahead when we're only four games in this season, but...

2017 could be one heck of a year. Senior Franklin leading the defense, juniors in Dungey, Clark, Fredericks, etc, seniors in Ishmael and Philips, sophomore (I'm assuming he'll play next year) Neal, and so on, and so on...

That year could potentially be our best season since the 10-3 campaign with Freeney.

Split? UVA just lost to Boise by 6 touchdowns and USF got handled by a Maryland team that just got blown out by West Virginia. I'll be shocked if we aren't 5-1. But then we're in the deep end of the pool.

I won't be shocked, but I'll be disappointed if we aren't 5-1. We've shown enough to make me think 5-1 is very realistic. We've also shown enough (in a bad way) to make me think that we could lose either of those two games. Particularly UVA, since I think we should absolutely handle USF.

I'm done losing to UVA in various sports. Time to beat the Cavaliers or call them our daddy...

Guys, this isn't the same ole cuse team from this last decade. I expect to win at usf and gut one out in Virginia. I really do expect the secondary to improve as well (barring injury). I am concerned that dungey's injury causes a cool down in his momentum. Hopefully he powers through and knocks the rust off quick.

The kid is stainless steel. He doesn't rust.

Hah I hear you. I know he has a level head and plays unlike other true freshmen but it would be hard not to be shell shocked a bit after that. I think he will make it through any bumps in the road if they do come.

I hope Dungey is able to return soon. I wish we had more status on his injury.

Whatever happens the football team is really awesome this year! Shafer and the other coaches have done a terrific job. Really good.

He'll be back for the next game.

I hope his head is back to level. ;)

Shafe said on his show that he's hopeful he'll be practicing by Tuesday.

Good news.

Does anyone know if ED was in the coach's booth during yesterday's game? I didn't see him on the sideline.
