I would think the two key players for them against us will be Cheek and Pinkston - Wayns goes without saying.
Despite how they've looked so far this year, I am somewhat worried about the game, as Jay Wright teams often seem to give SU fits.
BTW, what happened to I.Armwood?

so anyone know what became of Isaiah Armwood??

He's transferring...last I heard was George Washington.

If they get hot from 3 you never know. They have more talented players than their record indicates.

Be afraid. On any given night, under the right circumstances, any Big East team can beat any other Big East team. Away games in the Big East are like catching falling knives; the law of averages says sooner or later you're going to get cut.

The only good thing about Philadelphia are the players we get out of that armpit.SUball Maybe Scoop can find his outside shot when he visits home.

they are shooting like 30% from 3, so it will be awful if they are lights out Wednesday, but they don't really have any shooters

But the best thing about Philadelphia is that it isn't Pittsburgh.

Or maybe he has another cousin lurking down there somewhere...

and... watching them today against DePaul, they actually seemed to figure things out and gain alot of confidence. obviously, DePaul is still atrocious on the road, but Nova really did hammer them today - Their backcourt is actually pretty formidable with Wayns, Cheek and this freshman Ty Johnson. like someone posted above, if they somehow get hot from 3 it could be real interesting...

It's good to have Philly kids on the team that don't want to lose to their pals back home.

Then would you compare them to Florida?

They were horrific against Boston University's zone, how do you think they'll do against us?

We win by 20+.

I think we are going to handle them with ease. In Sundays WIN over DePaul they commited 28 turnovers. They managed to win by shooting 56%. Does anyone really think that they are going to shoot 56% against our zone? Not likely unless Fab gets into foul trouble very early. I can only imagine the transition points we would have if they take care of the ball in a similar fashion against us. 28 TOs becomes 35 against us and equates to 30 to 35 unanswered points.

I don't think this is going to play like a true road game, not that I want to feed the no road games media frenzy, but it is at the Wells Fargo Center and there are a lot of tickets available. Plus, we have a heavy Philadelphia contingent among our players - almost like home. I think we will be well represented in the arena... I am not concerned about this being an overly inhospitable atmosphere.

The best thing about this board is people posting **** about things they're clueless about.

I lived in Pittsburgh for 12 years and Philly for 5.

I am pretty sure that was the first game he started, Wright is still trying to figure out rotations and starting lineups, but they did look much better yesterday.

As long as Jay Wright is coaching, I will not overlook Nova. He and Pitino seem to have JBs number. We may very well win by 30, but I wouldn't be surprised if it comes down to the last minute either.

I'm very familiar with Philadelphia. I have Relatives who live in Ambler. Uncle was a research PHd at Temple Aside from the historic sites and the mint it remains an armpit if not a lower body odor emitting area. Pitts burgh is a bit better in a few respects but not worth a big shout out. Pitts burgh has at least attempted to be a renaissance center for its citizens. Cmden on the NJ side is one of NJ's garden spots as they like to define their numerous s#it holes in that state.
