I think this ND squad is probably a bit better than their perception right now.

Im not saying they’re world beaters, obviously, but they do have tremendous talent.

Very interested to see how our team responds. A fast start for us is critical imo.

Let’s go boys!!!

I'm curious to see what ND team will show up but more importantly...what SU team will show up. A lot of games left and hopefully the wounds were licked on Sunday and ready to focus on the game at hand. Need this win very badly and you are absolutely correct, ND has talent and SU has to make them feel like they don't...put em down and keep em down.

Stanford beat ND through the air while Marshall beat them on the ground. I.E. their defense sucks. Put together a solid game plan that is balanced and go with what works (not exactly rocket science).

I’m not a betting man but we’re covering that measly spread.

ND is playing the #16 team in the nation after basically a bye last week. Yeah, SU is getting their A game no doubt.

Worried Syracuse will come out flat. They expended a lot physically and emotionally last game. Hard to bounce back but Dino has always been able to keep them up and ready to play. One of his better qualities.

I hear ya but a full capacity Dome would snap them out of that rather quickly.

Man we gotta shake this L off and refocus on ND. I know the fanbase is having trouble switching gears - and it’s OK to sit with that loss for the weekend - but hoping the staff and team are already locked in and ready for another big time game in the Dome.

ND plays up to their opponents and down to their opponents. Never an easy team to handicap.

I expect the absolute best from the Fighting Irish. This will be a tough one.

34-27 Orange

I’m watching the replay right now of the game and then I’m turning the page. Need to see it a second time for closure.

As long as we don't turn the ball over or screw up on STs, I can't see them scoring more than 20 points. As long as we aren't one dimensional, we will score more than 20.

The announcers noticed how down the team was at the end of the game - understandably. Hoping the team's spirit wasn't broken. That was a brutal loss. As a fan - I was so down, I didn't watch another snap of football - and i love the NFL in addition to CFB. Truly hoping that Dino et al can turn last Saturday's torture into a positive/learning experience. Tough job - the team was SO CLOSE to glory.

This is a big and important game. We are getting some respect now but there are still lots of doubters out there nationally. Lots of people, Vegas included, feel this is a let-down game, were to dinged up, we got lucky last week, ect. We come out and put a hurt on ND itll shut these doubters up. I hope the coaches are telling the kids this. There is no reason to come out flat. This is ND not BC. There will be pro scouts watching. Got to channel the disappointment into anger and use it as fuel. This is a huge game and we need to treat it as such.

ND has the second best talent we will play all year. They are loaded top to bottom with ballers.

We need Dr. Bob to dial up a winner and Beck to get Shrader on point.

The D is going to see lots of heavy formations from the Irsih. I expect them to come out firing on all cylinders this one will be tough because we are so banged up. If not for our injuries i think we walk all over them but we are playing with a lot of hurt kids

I agree that if we can even slow down their TE a little that our D should hold up and cause them problems. I'm in the minority on this board but the offense is concerning to me. We haven't had 400 yards in total offense in a real game this year have we? The fact that it is improved for me anyway doesn't mean it is truly working and effective either.

We are putting points up on the board. The 2 games prior to Clemson that we were under 30, TOs were the issue.

Might as well rewatch Indiana 87 and Miami 92 while you’re at it?

This team doesnt seem like they’ll allow themselves to let the Clemson loss beat them a second week in a row.

Should be a big home crowd and an angry Orange team.

We just went toe to toe with a more talented Clemson on the road.

Notre Dames dangerous but I like and trust us here

ND's gameplan won't be overly complicated. Not saying they'll be able to execute it. But on offense they will try to pound us on the ground. Take shots to the TE and a couple over the top to the WRs to keep the safeties honest.

On defense, keep Shrader's legs spied as he calls his own number on nearly every run. Keep Gadsden doubled. Let us beat them with anyone else. Repeatedly. Dare us to go deep, because we hardly ever do it.

Their record against the ACC alone should give everyone concern. Not to mention their strengths matching up against our weaknesses.

If we refuse to give Sean the ball again this could be a long day.
