Impending free agent DE/OLB Dwight Freeney is not expected to re-sign with the Colts.
Freeney proved to be an extremely poor fit in Chuck Pagano's 3-4 scheme, compiling just five sacks and 24 tackles in 14 games. 2010 first-round pick Jerry Hughes will have a chance to run with the position full time next season. After 11 years with the Colts, Freeney is wearing down but still can help a team out of the 4-3 end spot as a situational rusher.

N. Y. G.

Wish list.
veteran minimum + 100k per sack. 50k per game played. 25k per tackle for loss.

and if he says no.....

no worries.

NEXT MAN UP!!

Oh Lord

Wherever he goes, I hope it's somewhere he can compete for a superbowl. He's been too good for too long.

The man has had a Hall of Fame career.

He should retire healthy and wealthy.

Always feel sad watching an SU and NFL great in the twilight of their careers. Like Keith Bullock leaving Tennessee and McNabb leaving the Iggles...you hope for a succeessful second act, but really just want them to retire healthy with a good legacy.

Dear God,

Please turn Dwight Freeney into a young stud QB and send him to the Jets.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

St. Peter

p.s. Don't forget about that national title for Syracuse we talked about last week.

Dwight has played so relentless and so well for so long...

He's got maybe two real years left and more situational than anything.
