Looks like more competition at the K position

We need to find someone that can kick the ball through the end zone, like Pat O'Neill did.

Since the spot was moved back very few kickers even kick it into the end zone. How many times this season has Kobena or Graham had to just take a knee in the end zone? Very very few. Seems like they always get a return. The 5 yard line is the standard now. BTW, that soccer player was there vs USF and warmed up pregame and at half time. He can get it to the goal line once in awhile but they are line drives almost with zero hang time. I'm sure he'll get better though.

I got in early enough to watch many of his kicks during pre-game. Not surprisingly- he kicks like a soccer player. There was no follow through, no dramatic leg kick. It was a simple flick, except his flick goes 50 yards.

Pretty impressive for a guy who had never worn football pads two days before.

He was having trouble kicking the ball in bounds, that coupled with the short hang time wasn't worth taking a chance on.

Since Krutman was already injured, Summers was an emergency back-up just in case Raupers got hurt.

Funny how different college and the NFL have chosen to be on this. Stronger kickers (NFL)? Then let's move up where we kick from. Weaker kickers (College)? Move it back.
