Wagner and WMU were gimme's. 2 wins. UCONN, FSU, Lville and UNC had the worst seasons in their histories. 4 wins, 6 total. BC, Wake and WVU all had major players out 3 wins, 9 total. Clemson had the QB meltdown, that ended up as a loss anyway. That leaves 3 games against teams at full strength: Pitt, ND and NCSU. 1-2 in those games with a tough loss to Pitt. Lose senior QB. I can see what outside analysts are basing their opinions on.
So? That’s how college football goes. People don’t pay attention and no one is saying Kentucky had a historic year because Of the same reasons.
Beating the teams on the schedule you should beat means you’re taking care of business. Then beating some you’re not supposed to beat means you’re probably going to be a good team.
Syracuse finished #6 in the nation against the spread. 9-3-1
