Normally I'd refrain from such a post, but OP has a history of stupid pot-stirring threads and, in my estimation, deserves to be called out for them.

Oh I agree, but Iowa this year happens to be a quality win. Not saying it's anything we should be terribly proud of, or try and prop up as a "great" win. But it is, nonetheless, still a quality win.

I agree that Iowa is a good team and that from a subjective standpoint, it's a quality win. But on Selection Sunday, the committee isn't going to say "hey let's get Eric and Pearl on the phone and get their take on whether it's a quality win." They're going to look at the numbers and objectively make conclusions, and if Iowa is outside the Top 50 (they're 47 right now), it will be a knock on our currently anemic resume.
