I have nothing to add to the current discussion, but here are the top transfers out of the program in the past, ranked by PPG average at their new home.

1. Keith Hughes - Rutgers - 1990-91 - 19.6 PPG

2. Matt Roe - Maryland - 1990-91 - 17.8 PPG

3. Bobby Lazor - Arizona State - 1998-99 - 17.4 PPG

4. Ramel Lloyd - Long Beach State - 1999-01 - 17.4 PPG

5. Scott Loll - University of Alaska - 1967-68 - 17.4 PPG

Wes, Silent G, Leron Ellis and Leo Rautins all transferred into the program, so we know how they performed. The list is of those who left us and who prospered best.

David Patrick is on the list (which contains 35 names). He went to Louisiana-Lafayette, played two seasons (1998-00) and averaged 3.2 PPG

Okay, just for fun. Here are the top 5 transfers into the Syracuse BB program, based on PPG.

1. Wes Johnson - Iowa State - 2009-2010 - 16.5 PPG

2. Ryan Blackwell - Illinois - 1997-2000 - 12.6 PPG

3. Michael Lloyd - San Jacinto Junior College - 1994-1995 - 12.5 PPG

4. Leo Rautins - Minnesota - 1980-1983 - 12.1 PPG

5. Michael Gbinije - Duke - 2013-2015 - 11.9 PPG (current stat)

Richie Manning transferred to Washington, scored nearly 1000 points in two seasons and his senior year went for 18 and 8 and was first team All Pac 10

Correct. My chart has him at number #6.

6. Richard Manning - Washington - 1992-1993 - 17.3 PPG

He's now an assistant coach and top recruiter for LSU. Recruited #1 Simmons for next year, in part due to the Australian connection.

Where's Cipolla?

Look what I started! I like this list better than the first one.

He's had an interesting career. Was s scout with the Houston Rockets for a spell. Obviously a great recruiter. At SU he was a Fr on our Championship 96 RU team, but as the 8th man, saw no time in the big games.

Manning got a cup of coffee in the nba

Tony Bland - San Diego St.
Earl Duncan - Rutgers
Bobby Lazor - AZ State?

Except for that one-minute opportunity in the national championship game, of course. I don't know what his plus-minus was, but I remember it being a bad minute.

I could just as easily look this up, but Glenn Sekunda scored a lot of points for Penn State, no?

My favorite transfer-in was one Kristof Ongenaet.

KO was one of the very few JC's that have come in under JB, the other notable ones being Jason Cipolla and Michael Lloyd.

Big fan of Ongenaet as well. Kid was brought in just to fill out the back end of the roster, because he was a good enough athlete to make others work in practice, but due to injuries he ended up playing a highly important role for his two seasons here. Doubtful that the coaching staff ever envisioned that when they signed him.

Boeheim once had a really funny line about him: "We get the only euro big in history who CAN'T shoot the basketball."

Loved KO!

wait, i thought coach didnt leave the bench when players got hurt
