Lots of room for growth

Which means you have to make the correct read at the LOS which isn't TD's strength.
I’m not sure this is right. I think he makes the correct read at the line and makes poor reads when it breaks down post snap. Maybe a bit of both?

Either way, I’ll beat this drum till I’m deaf - we’ve not seen him with a good OL. When he’s confident in his protection, he can tear teams up.

I am always skeptical of games where as fans we are hoping for a game plan that is MUCH different than the week before. Plain jane one week kitchen sink the next week!!! Syracuse needs to run the football and how they do that will make or break.

Agreed. But more off of the threat of the run will work nicely.

I don't think it's that as much as do the minimum necessary to win against an overmatched opponent. That's what we did last week.

Yeah, this has been my 'understanding' ( I term I use verrrrry loosely when it comes to the intricacies of football) also.

He's fine at reading things pre-snap, but when things change, and/or break down, he's not great at improvising, and/or going to his 2nd or 3rd read.

At least - he hasn't been the past 2 seasons, but again - both with an atrocious O-line.

Lines getting stronger. Get D. Davis and replace Vett at center with ulloa.

and at the opposite end of the spectrum is tisdale. He has been our lowest graded lineman both games and one of the worst in the country. Both games he has been in the 30’s and a bright red. While we have only given up 3 sacks he has been responsible for all 3 along with 3 QB hurrays. Need Davis back.

I pray getting Davis back does for us what getting Pugh back in 2012 did. Was like 2 different teams.

Replacing our worst OL with our best OL, its possible?

If Davis isn't going to get better soon, let's play Ellis, he is the future.

This next game is huge for a lot of reasons

I thought Chestnut playing well was a huge key, but I didn’t see that coming.

lf he can be close to that going forward SU has a top end corner duo. That will allow White to mix his coverages and play more man and not shade his coverages to provide help away from Williams. Be able to lock up two guys should lead to more coverage sacks or at least pressures.

OLine was solid, first game as a group, ability to upgrade will Davis and have Tisdale as the swing guard is great. Need to keep improving but I’m sticking with this group is going to end up in the good to very good range. This week will stress them mentally, as much as we loath Schiano, he is a professional dc that has been in front of very good defenses.

WR and DL are still areas of concern for me. When will McKinley be back and will he be 100%, can Lockett provide an upgrade and production with the second unit, where is the edge pressure coming from, will Linton play this year, can White create pressure with the linebackers? Are Alford and or Gadsden potential #1s? I’m not confident that taj is going to win 50/50 balls, can Queelly consistently get open?

Need to be clean, gift points to Rutgers is death. Specials need to break even, no short fields for. I hate dominating those clowns and losing on cheap points.

They want a good season this can’t be like Minnesota in 09, Rutgers in 11, Northwestern in 12, Pitt in 19. Playing a peer at home, need to close and win, not lose a close game because of multiple mistakes and gift points.
By the way, nailed it.

‘’dL exceeding expectations through two games is great. Defense has answered all questions to date

Yep, that sack fumble was all on him.

need Davis back for liberty
