Offensive guard Chris Bleich did not make the trip to Louisville for health-related reasons.

The line could get a lift with the return of Darius Tisdale. He’s here and available to play after missing the previous four games because of a lower-leg injury.

Bleich has been in and out of the lineup this season but returned to the field for the team’s 21-6 victory against Boston College two weeks ago. He started at right guard for the first time after starting six other games at left guard.

With Bleich out, SU could start freshman Kalan Ellis, as it did in three games this season. Tisdale also has the flexibility to play tackle and guard.

Fullback Chris Elmore did not make the trip either. He’s rehabbing an injury.

Freshman wide receiver Oronde Gadsden II will also suit up and is available to play for the first time since the team’s 33-30 loss at Florida State on Oct. 2.

The Orange will be without multiple key starters on offense as FB/TE Chris Elmore and G Chris Bleich did not travel. G/T Darius Tisdale did make the trip. He hasn’t played since Week 5. S Jason Simmons also traveled after missing the BC game.

Just checked the weather in Louisville: 39 degrees, cloudy. High temp 43. No significant chance of precipitation (10%). Light winds of <10mph.

I don’t think this ultimately has a huge impact on how the game will be played.

But, Hey! Who wants to come play football in the nice Dome they have in Syracuse? It’s always nice in whose house? That’s right…OUR HOUSE!

My friend was there for a highschool game last night and was thrilled they didn’t have to sit in rain/wind/cold etc.
