Louisville starting the "Fire Pitino, Hire Stevens" Threads

I guess I'm inclined to agree that we should go 15-3.

But I'm that guy who thinks that nearly every Syracuse game is played 5-on-8 due to our finesse style and the ineptitude of officials. And 2010 just crushed any illusions I might have held that Louisville and Pittsburgh were beatable teams - they were dreadful that year and just put us down in characteristic style (Louisville: handcheck like crazy, hit timely threes from the corner off dribble penetration; Pittsburgh: football).

You forgot with Louisville: Having a no-name white guy guy off for his scoring high with (seemingly) 10 3's. I'm sure Pitino has a guy buried on his bench just waiting to light us up.

I always try and temper my own expectations (well, except for this thread). If I wasn't an SU fan, I'd look at schedule and the team and say we're definitely going 15-3 at worst. Mayeb I have reached that point now, but only because of the rest of the conference.

And the game tonight, I am fairly worried. If it was OSU or UK at N ova, I'd say easy win. But because I'm am SU fan...

OMG! They are definitely passing around a pipe with something in it. One line read:
...Can you clarify what you mean by "the list of guys we would get"? You think there's a chance - even a slim chance - we would get Coach K? And more importantly, why on Earth is Calipari on that list?!

They think Coach K might possibly leave Duke? Are you kidding?

There is no way we don't at least beat Louisville once this year. After what happened last year with Louisville when Boeheim got irate we are at least going to split the series. We eventually are going to beat them and this is the year. If we don't beat Pittsburgh either then that's just sad, whether or not they have our number.

The more we win, the higher peoples' expectations will be come tourney time. Another sweet 16 loss and people are going to call for JB's head, too.

Remember, we have a well deserved reputation for underachieving in the tournament...
another reason why we might want to be coldly analytical about this squad
