74k in that stadium last night isn't a niche sport. Yes, the regular season in college hoops is a bore , but then again so is the regular season for baseball and especially the NBA where half the league makes the playoffs.

Baseball is a bore whenever they play. I watch the NBA regular season. Much more entertaining. College not so much.

I agree, I played college baseball and it is difficult for me to get through an entire game. I do love playoff baseball. College hoops has a problem with the regular season. It starts in Nov, people don't really tune in til after football season is over because the games don't have any juice/implications until Feb,unless you are a mid major making a run at an at large birth. I found it laughable that Duke/UNC played twice in Feb the 2 weeks leading up to the ACC tourney and March madness when a game like that might have given the sport a much needed shot in the arm in January. College FB has juice starting week 1 on labor day with every team needing to win. However,the college hoops national champ is the winner of a 3 week tournament that its regular season had very little impact on.
