Woodward brought in Kelly, if I recall. If so, the governor is probably right in not letting Woodward bring in another problem.

I am not sure the governor can do better but he likely cannot do worse.

I read today that Kelly won’t take anything less than his full buyout. The AD is pretty much out of the negotiating process. The governor has taken over. The AD was also the same guy who gave Jimbo the huge buyout. $130 million for two of his hires to not coach.

Luv, luv, luv, to see these SEC teams pay out the big bucks to someone not to work for them. I hope to see 2 or 3 SEC teams do this every year.

I wonder if these guys realize that if everyone is paying top dollar to win, half of them will still finish in the bottom half of the league.

Kelly’s contract is with the LSU, not boosters. If boosters though are willing to donate money for it, LSU will gladly accept especially if the boosters had promised to, just to get rid of Kelly. The governor, Landry, has been described as a big LSU booster himself.

True statement here from someone I’m really close with and close to LSU, Brian Kelly was having an affair with a real estate agent. Big group of boosters found out. Part of the reason he’s getting fired and now they are trying to not pay him because of a “morality” clause built into his contract. Wild times
