The announcers seemed to want to use this game to make a case against UCF being in a championship tournament. No one can argue that they would have been an unlikely winner of such a tournament. I just think that every team in a division should have a path to the title or else they shouldn't be in that division. if a team can win all their games and still have no shot at the championship at all, something is wrong.

If only power conference teams should be allowed to compete for a championship, then they should comprise the entire division. Put the "Group of Five" back into FCS when whence most of them came. Let's see Central Florida play North Dakota State for the title. That would be a good game. FCS teams can still play games against the FBS powers. The entire purpose of Division 1AA was to allow teams to be "Division 1" and still have a championship they could win. Failing that, the FBS playoff should be expanded to include the best of such teams. Let them prove themselves - or come up short- on the field, not jsut in people's minds.
