Lydon injury

A 26 year old guy in my office ruptured his Achilles in a pick up game. So it can happen to young people too not just older people with lots of "miles" on their bodies. A tear is a bad injury that requires a very long rehab. Hopefully Lydon didn't partially tear it. I would think he'll have an MRI for precaution.

I agree - A) we should be able to handle St Johns without him and B) at this point the St Johns game doesn't make our season. We need ACC wins, including some big ones, - I want Lydon ready for that.
We need all the wins we can get. If we win the next 2 games, we need 11 conference wins to get to 20. That is the number I would feel comfortable with, heading into selection time. I think 11 wins in conference is doable, but it leaves no margin for error.

Yeah, but it's unusual for young people to tear an achilles tendon without external force, particularly the way Lydon came down, unless of course it is a young person who is sedentary. There are plenty of achilles tears with weekend warriors.

I hear you, but if we get 11 conference wins I think we are in whether we beat St J or not. And for the record I don't think we sniff 11 ACC wins, but hope I am wrong.

True, 11 wins would likely do it, and going through our schedule, I was getting 11 wins with my orangest glasses.

Just wondering if anyone has any "inside" news on the state of Tyler Lydon's achilles? I have read the standard achilles strain and the not too informative Twitter articles, but was hoping someone here would have something more substantial. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Miami, Pitt (2), Virginia Tech, Boston College, Wake Forest, Florida State, NC State, Clemson, Georgia Tech (2)...

That's super duper optimistic and zero room for mistakes in most of those games...but IMO the "best" way to possibly get to 11 ACC W's. (And no I don't think it's going to happen either.)

We have BC twice, no? So we can get to 12!!! This group of players has the talent to pull it together and be a great team by the end of the year, hopefully they get it figured out in the next few games so that we can have the games against NC, Duke and Virginia that we had all hoped for before the season began.

He's a NJ player. I watched him in high school. I was never completely overwhelmed with him but I thought he'd be much better than he has been. Much better. I knew his shooting was dicey but he even hit three's in high school at a decent clip, and some huge shots in clutch moments. Where the heck is that guy?

Still at Roselle Catholic?

My god. We are screwed. Seth Davis knows less about college basketball than anyone on the planet earth. I had confidence the transition would go well and now I'm in a really dark place. I'm talking francopizza/tbonezone/igor dark!

On top of that, Seth Davis has done a complete face turn. He was a heel for so long and now he suddenly loves SU and is all positive about us.

Haha! I think as long a Gottlieb is still hating on us all is still well!!

Yeah right, he's only acting nice for now. He'll make the heel turn come March

Attitude era of WWF was unbelievable television. It's a shame so many people don't appreciate wrestling. I didn't say you have to like it- but how can you not appreciate it? Best athletes on earth, with grueling schedules. It's so difficult to get to the top as it requires so much ability to use a microphone to draw crowds into story lines, all while performing crazy moves in the ring.

End rant.

If you think the Attitude era was great you should watch Ric Flair but hard times on Dusty Rhodes and in doing so putting hard times on America.
