Nothing good happens when Lydon pump fakes and then drives. It's almost always a turnover or a missed shot. The best case scenario is that he gets bailed out with a foul.

At this point, he should either just catch and shoot or catch and pass. He has to be shooting a better percentage on contested 3's than wild drives to the hoop.

I know there are bigger fish to fry after this game, but watching him pass up semi-open 3's just to put the ball on the deck and do something awful is getting annoying.

Unlike the Frank Howard circa last season, he knows he won't get Boeheimed for his running floaters in the lane. Although it almost went down, I wasnt exactly excited with that shot selection, as he becomes much more of an average player when not embracing his strengths.

I didn't think he shot enough today. I also don't think we got him the ball enough. He was open all day on the wing.

Agreed on both counts. He needs to accept that he's a jumpshooter and just do that. I'd rather see him pull up for a midrange jumper than basically any other 2 point option at his disposal. His floater is only marginally better than that crappy post 'hook' shot of his.

Yeah he should definitely accept that he is only a jump shooter and try to be as one dimensional as possible...because nobody ever improved at something over the course a season. If he is just a one dimensional jump shooter we'll see how many of those open looks he continues to have as the season goes along.

Oh jesus

Lydons best position offensively - center (hes a one dribble kind of scorer only 2-3 with a pullup)

Defensively probably sf, because that means there is another really tall guy next to him at pf and a center out there. We should not have lost on the boards to sc, I don't know whats going on there.

This makes it a little bit tougher for him. Wish Roberson coleman and Thompson were good for hitting 5-6 of those jumpers a game out of 10-12 shots. Then we could run lydon out of center offensively right under the basket and then out to the perimeter opening the lane for our drivers, then back under the basket. Using dajuan and thompson extended on the right side and for the high screens.
