Totally agree. Besides the fact that I think Macky is great, this is a great move to help smooth the transition to the new coaching regime while including some of the past.

Cerebral player. Gave his all physically too. Could have been an Ivy Leaguer but preferred to stay home and play for the Orange(men). Glad to see him back in the Dome and look forward to seeing a successful coaching career develop in the years ahead. With any luck maybe he'll duplicate his grandfather's undefeated regular season here at Syracuse then one up Coach Mac by thrashing Auburn in the 2036 Sugar Bowl.

I remember some long-forgotten rabble rouser claiming that Macky only got the starting job at center in 2011 because several other players were hurt. After a rough start against Wake Forest, Macky proved that poster wrong every time he took the field.
