For a variety of reasons.
1. JB wins game #1000 ( screw anyone who doesn't see it that way)
2. Any discussion of a program in decline has been entirely dispelled
3. Streak of winning seasons almost certainly remains intact
4. We are close to being a shoe in for the Dance
5. Team is coalescing in a way that nearly nobody could have imagined
6. Notions of an incredible finish to the season are now in play
I'm so, so proud of JB, MH, the coaching staff and the players for having endured a plethora of criticism and quietly turning things around amidst a avalanche of negativity and displaying a spirit of grit and determination rarely ever seen at this level. What they have accomplished over the past few games is absolutely remarkable and I have to believe that they have a lot more that they are going to show us moving forward.
Just a really really great day for Orange Basketball and James Arthur Boeheim in particular.
