I might be open to it, but would want the process of petitioning for re-instatement, interviews, etc. to play out during the fall semester, with the quickest possible resolution getting him on campus for the spring semester.  That would allow time to see if he maintains behavior outside of the shock camp environment and also remove the possible friction with Nassib from the equation (did he steal from any non-senior teammates?).
 
Even if his bridges are burnt at SU, it's worth helping him find another school to:
a) Allow him to turn his life around and be a productive citizen;
b) In the event that he regresses, I'd rather see a headline saying something like  [I]Delaware State Linebacker Arrested[/I], than an eternal reference to him as a former SU Player.
